Every year at The Dude Hates Cancer, we like to honor blood cancer survivors as honorary heroes. Meet this year’s honorary hero, Matthew Hauser:
Matthew was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in November 2008, when he was just 2 years old. After undergoing emergency surgery and spending almost a year at CHOP receiving intensive chemotherapy – his treatment was successful and he has been in remission for 9 years. He will be entering the 6th grade this year and enjoys golf, swimming, and basketball. He wants to help fight blood cancers and help families with cancer.
Matthew will be welcoming the crowd at the main event and rolling the first ball to kick off the tournament on Saturday! Stop by South Bowl to meet him and to cheer on all the participants.
